Dickinson Mental Health operates 7 Life sharing homes in Potter county. Two of these homes are located in Galeton, two in Coudersport, and three in the Ulysses area.

      These homes also provide services for individuals with either a diagnosis of mental retardation, mental health or a combination of mental health and mental retardation.

      The provider’s top priority is to improve the quality of life of those residing in their homes as well as ensuring the safety, welfare and health of the individuals. Each person is given numerous opportunities to participate in community activities, make choices in daily lives and schedules, develop and maintain relationships outside their homes, as well as the opportunity to grow. The home provides supervision plans within the independent capabilities of the individual with reference to amounts of unsupervised time and activities they can attend, as well training and support in various areas addressing all the needs of the individuals.
